The Duluth Parks and Recreation division invites the public to experience the best of nature and winter recreation. The Bayfront skating rink will open January 2, 2019 and is available 7 days a week, weather permitting. The Bayfront Family Center provides a place to warm up after skating or to try out any of the equipment. Limited equipment is available for use at Bayfront Park to facilitate your recreational experience such as ice skates, snowshoes, sleds, and cross country skis.
Weekdays 4-8 pm, Saturdays 1-8 pm, Sundays 1-5 pm. Extended hours are arranged on school release days or breaks.
The rink will be closed if wind chills reach -20 degrees Fahrenheit, or if warm weather creates melted puddles on the ice.
