Bayfront Festival Park is one of Duluth’s most beautiful public parks located on the shores of Lake Superior. Visitors to the park can view ships from around the world entering the harbor under the Aerial Lift Bridge.
Bayfront Festival Park is home to a variety of events and activities throughout the year. Enjoy an exciting array of festivals featuring music, entertainment, art and food. During winter months, there is ice skating and a holiday lighting display.
Take a walk around the festival grounds, stage and past the harbor. Play on the biggest, most innovative playground in Duluth. Bayfront Festival Park is a great place for people to go with friends and family almost any time.
Year-round, Playfront Playground is open to children of all ages. Bayfront Festival Park’s restroom building is open daily during the summer months (May 30 – September 1, 2017) from 7am to 8pm.
The City of Duluth Parks and Recreation division is inviting the public to take advantage of fun free activities and recreational equipment offered Monday through Thursday during the hours of 11am to 7pm, at the Bayfront Family Center. Visitors to the Family Center will have access to the use of kickballs, croquet sets, kites, volleyballs, and frisbees. Concessions and restroom facilities are also available. Equipment is free of charge and available to anyone to borrow during their visit to the Family Center now until September 21.
NOTE: The Family Center activities may be unavailable at times due to special events that are scheduled at Bayfront during the 2017 summer season.
